Oasis Crisis Support Space
The Oasis crisis support space is a safe alternative to the emergency department for people aged 16 and over who are experiencing mental health distress, but don’t need urgent medical care.
The Oasis offers personalised support from peer workers and mental health clinicians in a welcoming, non-clinical environment, enabling people to share their story, learn coping strategies and be connected to other community supports if needed.
About Oasis Crisis Support Space
Opening hours and locations are as follows:
- Hervey Bay Hospital: open 7 days from 2pm – 9pm, located next to the emergency department
- Maryborough Hospital: open Friday – Sunday from 2pm – 9pm, located on Level 2 (turn left out of the lift).
