Becoming a mother is often described as one of life’s most beautiful experiences — but for many women, it can also be one of the loneliest. For one young Fraser Coast mum, that personal journey has inspired a heartfelt mission to support other mothers through the emotional highs and lows of motherhood.
Ola Sucharek launched her business Blissful to create more than just thoughtful gift boxes and care packages. She has created a message of connection, comfort, and emotional support for women who may be struggling silently during the early stages of motherhood.
As the mother of three-year-old Louis, she understands firsthand how overwhelming life can feel when navigating motherhood without a strong support network nearby.
“Moving without a village around me taught me just how important love, care, and support truly are during motherhood,” she shared.
Ola knows very well the feeling of isolation yet being resilient. Born in Poland, over a decade ago she chose the adventure of travelling the world and testing her independence that led to a new home on the Fraser Coast.
Like many new mothers, there were moments of loneliness, emotional exhaustion, and uncertainty. But rather than allowing those experiences to define her negatively, she turned them into a way to help others feel seen, valued, and cared for.
“Blissful was born from my own journey — the lonely moments, the emotional days, and the deep desire to help other mums feel supported,” she said.
Mental health professionals often speak about the importance of connection, reassurance, and self-care during the post-partum period. Feelings of isolation and emotional fatigue can affect many mothers, particularly those away from family or established friendships. Small gestures of kindness, encouragement, and practical support can make an enormous difference to emotional wellbeing.
That understanding is woven through every aspect of Blissful. Each carefully curated package is designed to remind mothers that they are not alone and that taking moments to care for themselves matters too.
Her message is simple but powerful — motherhood should never feel like a journey taken in isolation.
“Blissful is more than a brand,” she said. “It is a hug from one mum to another.”
